Students should walk to campus rather than ride a motor cycle or car



Walking is one of the simple exercises that you do in . However, many people are still not aware of this, especially for Indonesian young generation. Recent study released by Standford University, quoted from the jakarta post.com, stated that Indonesia is the laziest country to walk. The findinds shown that they have only 3000 steps daily out of 5000 steps as the suggested one. This also can be proven that almost Indonesian tend to ride a motor cycle or drive a car rather than walking or even using public transportation . The easiness getting those motors and cars might lead to laziness, the most importantly, it might cause more traffic. To overcome this, young generation play a great role in starting a good way to walk. Such walking campaign ought to be encourage by several programs.
  
As a students who has high mobility, walking is considerably suggested as it can maintain a good health. They should walk around the campus or use shuttle bus. As a consequence, traffic reduction will be no longer the common view in the campus. The most important thing is the full support from the campus internal. They should make a program to have them walked at campus. At least, there would be one or two days without car or motor cycle, in contrast, they might walk.

As mentioned in the first paragraph that actually walking has so many benefits. A website concerned more about heart  in the US said that walking could decrease the heart attack, get rid of the bad cholesterol, and so many other. In addition, walking also could burn our calories from our body. It actually depends how long the distance we walk. If we walk in a short distance, the calories burnt is relatively small. However, if we walk for long distance, your calories would decrease.

Thereare several applications are available in the google store used to measure how calories burnt and how far we walk. Walker might know the distance reached and the calories burnt. The apps would work when we start to walk and it would automatically be measured. Also, the weekly result can be seen through our smartphone. Then, it could be as a consideration for the following week to improve the distance of walking.
          
Regarding to benefits provided, people are still reluctant to walk. This a big homework for the government to promote and urge people to walk in abid to maintain a good health. Young generation play a great role, as the next generation, to be a model and get accustomed to walk. This campaign must be continuously promoted throughout the country. Students, an agent of change, have an incredible influence to share this campaign.
