Visiting Museums in Bandung
Well, I would like to share to you
about my Jalan-Jalan with my LPDP Family. We went to several museums in Bandung,
East Java. I have no family here, and LPDP Family covered me as a family. We
are connected by the same visison and mission to be able to improve and advance
our beloved country. Despite we are different majors, it does not mean that we
cannot stay forward. Whatever posistions, profession, we can contribute to push
forward Indonesia. Therefore, want to make a bonding family by jalan-jalan
together to the city.
We gathered in front of the gate at
08.00 am.Yet, I was very late to come to the meeting point. Many of my friends
looked at me strangely as if I was crazy late. Then, we took a bus in the
Ledeng terminal which is near the gate. The bus is affordable price that is
only five thousands rupiahs. As you know that the traffic in Bandung is
untolerable , sometimes, it gets us so bored and sometimes, it gets us so fast.
It depends on the time we left. I saw all people were so happy that we could go
together.
The first destination was Alun-Alun. It
is actually located in Jalan Asia Afrika. However, we were dropped by bus in
jalan Otois which is near the mosque. It was not too far, so we walked to the
Alun-Alun. The Alun-Alun was very clean. It was made of green fabric grass. So
people could enjoy there without any worry about the dirtiness. But, make sure
that you put off your sandal or shoes in the side of the yard. With the good
brackground of the mosque and the beautiful park, many people tend to almost
take a picture with their family or friends. Kids can play football or kites in
the yard. In the side of the yard, there are seats for people who wants to have
a meal. The notice is that visitor may not litter in the place.
Then, we continued our to the Konferensi
Asia Afrika Museum. It is near from the Alun-alun. We just need to walk accross
to get there. The museum is free to enter, yet, we must confirm to the front
office to get our name checked. We can see how powerful Indonesia in 1955 to
bravely conduct such event and would inspire many countries to have the
independence. We could see the things used at that time, from the camera up to
the hall for the conference. One of the guide told us that by visiting the
museum, it was suggested not only taking
selfpicture but also understanding the historical event.
The day was hot, but my friends were strong
to have the next destination. I wore sunglasses to protect the sunlight. The
following place was Museum of Siliwangi which exhibit the national army of
Indonesia had a battle with the rebel. The museum showed the things related to
the war and several paintings were exhibited. According to me, that place needs
to be renovate since it is an out of date musem. It could be seen from the
building the display management. The renovation is prominent for attracting
people, especially for the youngsters to come to the museum. The ticket is
based oon our capibility, at that time, we only paid fifty thousands for more
than ten people. It was quite cheap. Therefore, its management must be improved
well.
Before we went ot the Geology Museum,
we had a lunch together in the Soto Semarang. It was very delicious to have.
The price was also affordable. We took a Grab Car to the museum because it is
cheap for many people.
The museum was very modern. It could
be seen from the display and video related to the geology of Indonesia. The
building has two floors. the first floor is for stones and earth. The second
floor is for energy and disasters. I also saw that the historic city of Bandung
in the ancient era. Bandung city which is surrounded by hill actually a lake.
It is amazing!
The last
destination was Gedung Sate which is one of the historical and prominent
building in West Java. The governor sits there. Many people took a memorial
photograph there. It has also water fountain which is so wonderful. However,
photographer must be careful since the street is always crowded.
All in all,
I was very glad to be able to gather with them. Though they are not my
relative, but we are connected like family. Beside that, this jalan jalan is
important for us, as new student, to improve our energy of Indonesia.
