Welcoming Awardee UPI 2017
That morning, I had an incredible
agenda, that is Welcoming Awardee 2017. It takes
place in the 5th floor of the graduate building.
It was aimed to welcome new students
especially those who got LPDP scholarship.
We got many explanation from the
committee about the campus life such as how to get good GPA, and what must we
do to LPDP including the online filling of SIMONEV.all of them were very
important for us as new students to quickly adjust to the surroundings.
The theme was a great start for an
excellent finish. At 8.15 am, the MC started the event by greeting all
attendees. Some claps were also echoed there to get the focus. The
speeches had been delivered by several outstanding chairman such Lurah UPI,
Baraya 3.0, and FKMSPS UPI. One of the chairman said that the UPI community was
one of the productive communities to succeed the program. The chairman of the
FKMSPS also urged us to study hard while never forget to synergize with other
communities, so all of us could achieve the success in our study.
Since then, I truly realized that
Indonesia is a big country since I could know friends nationwide. They have
their own languages and cultures, but we are still one, Indonesia. As awrdee,
we owe a debt of dedication to Indonesia since we are financed by millions of
people who paid the taxes to continue Master study. From this event, all of us
were reminded to be able to give our best to our country based on our
capability. From the smallest thing to the biggest things.
As the end of the event, I met one of
the awardee when i finished my prayer. We had a mini talks. He was Kang Rozi,
an English master student who just came back from conference in Korea. We
talked a lot of things from Do’s and Don’t’s at campus. One thing that I
remembered that we had to struggle to study there. Unless, we would be left
behind.
At 14.40 pm, I had a lunch with
/Mixed Noodle near my homestay. It was affordable for student. It was around
eight thousands rupiah. As I arrived in my room, I called my junior who is
currently studying English education in Semarang, central Java.
That day was #Timnas day in the SEA
Games 27th in Kuala Lumpur. There would be a semin-final football match between
Indonesia and Malaysia. Since I don’t have a TV set in my room, I joined my
friends to watch it by streaming in the campus. We went there after isya. It
was located beside the central library. The bandthwith was so fast. Therefore,
it was easy for us to download many things there.
All in all, I was very grateful to
have such a great day meeting with a lot of friends and having new insights
about campus life through Welcoming Awardee 2017. I wih I could all the things
suggested.
After isya, I browsed with my friends
in the campus to watch the match The night was quite cool.
I wore Jacket
Till the end of the match, Timna was
unsuccessful to give a goal to the match. But I thought that they gave the best
for us. I am still proud of them #TimnasDay
